Israeli strike kills militants

In Gaza, an Israeli air strike killed two Islamic Hamas militants on Sunday as Israel pressed ahead with a massive offensive.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army. Palestinian witnesses said several other people were wounded in the strike near Jabalya a militant stronghold from which gunmen often fired rockets into Israel.

The air strike narrowly missed a nearby vehicle carrying a top leader from the Islamic Jihad militant group.
