Gunmen shoot at Palestinian official´s convoy, no one injured

Unidentified gunmen have fired at a convoy carrying the Palestinian interior minister in the Gaza Strip. No one was injured in Sunday's attack.

The Interior Ministry says Minister Saeed-Seyam, a senior Hamas leader, escaped unharmed. A Palestinian security patrol later arrested four men suspected of carrying out the shooting.

The attack comes amid rising tension between the governing Hamas Islamists and the Fatah faction of President Mahmoud Abbas. Palestinians are hoping both sides will form a unity government that will end a crippling Western boycott against the Hamas administration.
