China, US to hold 4th strategic dialogue in Washington

China and the United States will hold their fourth round of strategic dialogue later this month in Washington.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Qin Gang confirmed that Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, Dai Bingguo and US Deputy Secretary of state, John Negroponte will jointly chair the meeting. The talks will take place on the 20th and 21st of June.

Qin Gang also said that both sides will continue in-depth exchanges concerning China-US relations and international issues.

He added that the dialogue mechanism is an important platform for the two sides to communicate on strategic and political levels, in accordance with a consensus reached by the two countries.
