16 Z-9 Chinese helicopters will also join the exercise. This is the first time Chinese made helicopter gunships will join an overseas military drill. They will search for "terrorists" and provide protection for Chinese transporters. Ten helicopters will perform operation tasks with their Russian counterparts during the two-hour exercise.
