A new round of six-party talks will be held here in Beijing from Thursday to Sunday. The ROK delegation has already arrived. And US top negotiator Christopher Hill is in Japan to prepare for the talks.

Back in Beijing for more negotiations. The ROK Chief Negotiator says this round needs to come up with a clear guideline.

Chun Yung-Woo, ROK chief negotiator, said, "The key for this round of the six-party talks is to provide a guideline for the next stage -- to declare and denuclearize the facilities. This is a way that no one has ever traveled, which is very difficult but also important."

Chun underscored the ROK's commitment to a peaceful settlement.

Chun said, "The ROK delegation will do its best and play its unique role in the progress to facilitate achievements as early as possible.

Also on Wednesday, US nuclear envoy Christopher Hill arrived in Japan to meet his Japanese counterpart Kenichiro Sasae.

Hill said, "I think we will continue to be in very close consultation in the days, weeks and months ahead and so if we can be successful by the end of this year in getting disablement and full declaration, then we can move on to what I hope will be is the final phase next year, which is the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula."

Earlier in February, the DPRK agreed to declare all of its nuclear programs and disable all existing nuclear facilities in exchange for a total of one million tons of heavy fuel oil or equivalent aid, with an initial shipment of 50,000 tons.

The DPRK has already shut down and sealed the nuclear facilities in Yongbyon.

This time envoys will hear working group reports and work out a road map for the implementation of the general consensus reached in July.
