In the final day of six-party talks, delegates pushing for an agreement to outline goals closing nuclear facilities in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Earlier, negotiators indicated some consensus with a joint document probably reached at the end of these talks.

The focus of this session aims at the steps needed for the DPRK's disablement of its nuclear facilities.

China circulated a draft agreement on Saturday.

The US chief delegate has expressed encouragement over the progress.

US chief nuclear envoy Christopher Hill said, "I think there is a pretty good consensus on the way ahead. I think there will be some kind of statement but I just don't know how much detail there will be in the statement."

South Korea's chief delegate, Chun Yung-woo also said the six parties have reached an agreement.

But he declined to reveal the details for the document, adding the most important part of it will be the timing of declaration and disablement of the DPRK's nuclear facilities.

The DPRK has not made comment.

Ahead of this week's session, Pyongyang had signaled that it was ready to continue pushing ahead with the February 13th agreement reached in the six-party talks.

That deal says the DPRK agrees to abandon its nuclear weapons programs in return for one million tons of fuel oil or equivalent aid.

In July, the DPRK shut down its major nuclear reactor at Yongbyon and four other related facilities.

In return, it received the first deliveries of fuel oil and started diplomatic fence-building with the US and Japan.
