Top commerce officials from the United States say the dialogue mechanism between China and the US is benefiting bilateral trade relations.
The comments came on the eve of a high-level meeting between US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Chinese officials.
The meeting is expected to touch on China's trade surplus with the US and its product safety record.
