President Robert Mugabe has spent the past three days negotiating with heads of the opposition party, Movement for Democratic Change.
Their talks were aimed at resolving a dispute over cabinet posts, which is threatening a power-sharing deal signed last month.
As political parties are still fighting over who should control key ministries, negotiators have vowed to try talks again on Friday.

Mugabe has voiced optimism that a deal can be reached, but added compromise is needed on all sides.
