Taiwan´s chief negotiator: Agreements reached due to joint efforts

After the four agreements were signed, the two organizations held separate press conferences.

The Chinese mainland and Taiwan have signed agreements in  air transport, shipping, postal services and food safety.

The deputy head of the mainland team said the agreements were the result of peaceful development of cross-strait relations, and they will improve communication between both sides.

Taiwan's chief negotiator said the agreements, especially on direct shipping and flights, had been reached in such a short time because of joint efforts from the two sides.
