May quake survivors prepare for festival

As the Lunar New Year approaches, residents in areas hit by last year's May 12th earthquake are receiving sufficient supplies of food and other daily necessities to prepare for the festivities.

| More than 46,000 homes will be finished for the May 12 quake survivors in the county within 2009 with the money donated by people in Zhejiang province. |
Authorities have tightened the quality control for commodities sold at markets in the quake-hit region. Counties in the epicenter have set up more warehouses to stock food and other essentials in case of shortages. Local authorities have vowed that they will ensure a happy festival for all the survivors.
