Obama asks people patient with economy growth on internet

US President Barack Obama has kicked off an online "town hall" meeting at the White House, pushing hard for public support of his 3.6 trillion US dollar budget.

Obama asked online viewers to be patient with the work his administration is doing to revive the economy. Over one-hundred thousand questions were recorded on the White House web site, and viewers recorded over three and a half million votes for the most popular questions.
Obama said the online town hall meeting was an important step towards creating a broader avenue for information about his administration.
