Hu Jintao, newly elected general secretary of the Communist Party (CPC) of China Central Committee, said in Beijing Friday that the new CPC leadership will unswervingly implement the important thought of Three Represents.
Hu made the remark when meeting the press covering the 16th CPC National Congress.
He said that the congress has established "Three Represents" as the Party's long-term guiding ideology, on a par with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory.
"That's a historical policy decision and a historical contribution," he said.
