Global automakers gripped in an industry recession are wooing chances of the upcoming Shanghai auto expo as China overtook America to become´s the world´s largest auto market in the first quarter.

The 28th annual Hong Kong Film Awards has given out its top prizes. "Ip Man," a bio-pic about Bruce Lee´s kung fu master won the best picture award. But a low-budget, documentary-like film about a working-class neighborhood was the biggest winner on Sunday night.

Tale of a kung fu master tops bill at Hong Kong film awards

A biopic of Bruce Lee´s kung fu master won best picture at the 28th Hong Kong Film Awards yesterday, but a documentary-like film about a working-class neighborhood dominated the other top prizes.

"Ip Man," a profile of the martial arts teacher of the same name starring Donnie Yen, took top honors at the annual awards ceremony, but the low-budget "The Way We Are" took home prizes for best director Ann Hui, best actress Paw Hee Ching, and best supporting actress for Chan Lai-wun.
