Subway Lines 8 and 9 to open next year section by section

Seven stations on the south end of Line 9 will open in 2010

Opening stations: Efforts will be made to ensure that the southern section of Line 9 (Guogongzhuang Station – Liuliqiao Station) will open to traffic by the end of 2010. This section will be 9.5 kilometers in total length with 7 stations in between, and will join the Fangshan Line at Guogongzhuang Station. A transfer to the Liuliqiao Traffic Hub will be realized at Liuliqiao Station.

Traffic improvement: The problem concerning passenger flows between the Fangshan Line and Line 9 will be solved effectively, greatly facilitating the commute of residents living in Fangshan District and the central area of Fengtai District, as well as easing the pressure on Dujiakan Toll Station.
