Subway Lines 8 and 9 to open next year section by section

Eight stations on the eastern section of the first phase Line 6 project will open in 2011

Opening stations: Efforts will be made to ensure that the eastern section of the first phase Line 6 project (Hujialou Station – Caofang Station) will open by the end of 2011. This section will be 14 kilometers in total length with eight stations in between. Transfer to the first phase Line 10 project will be realized at Hujialou station.

Traffic improvement: Once this section opens, the commute will be made a lot easier for the large number of residents living in communities around Chaoyangbei Road and Beijing’s eastern area, and the operational pressure on Line 1 and the Batong Line will be alleviated to a certain extent.
