去年我们非常荣幸的参与了中央电视台主办的第一届中国电视体育奖活动， 我们一直期望能够再次作为独立计票人参与这项盛大而隆重的活动。今天，荣幸之至， 我们再次应邀担任这一角色。 我们会确保将我们的工作做到最好。

   普华永道作为一个独立的和被人信任的公司， 参与了世界上许多盛大的活动， 以确保这些活动在计票方面的客观和公平。 最著名的也许是好莱坞的年度奥斯卡奖，普华永道在这个奖项中担任了独立投票计票人的角色。
我们认为，去年举办的中国电视体育奖活动已经达到了国际最高水平， 我深信今年的评选一定会更加辉煌。

   这些奖项都是与公平竞争有关的。 作为独立计票人， 我们会确保计票过程的公平。 诚实和客观是我们公司最重要的两个品质。我们确信在本次活动中将会充分体现我们这些品质。

       Last year we were very pleased to work with CCTV on the first Sports Awards and we look forward to once again being the independent ballot counters for these important and prestigious awards.

      We are honoured that you have asked us to undertake this role again and we will ensure that our work is done to the highest standards.

      As a firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers is involved in many prestigious activities around the world where an independent and trusted firm is required to ensure total objectivity and fairness in the counting of votes. Perhaps the most famous is the annual Oscars in Hollywood where again PwC is the independent vote counter.

      The process undertaken at the China sports awards last year by the organisers was to the highest international standards and I am confident this will be the same for the 2002 awards.

     These awards are all about "fair play" and as the independent ballot counter we will do our part to ensure that there is fair play in the counting process. Integrity and objectivity are two of the most important qualities of our firm and we will ensure those qualities are demonstrated during these awards.

     I would like to congratulate the co-organisers for this year's event. It is a sign of the growing importance of these awards and sport generally within China that CCTV will be joined by the China Olympic Committee and the All China Sports Federation in organising and supporting the awards this year

    China's importance and influence globally is growing continually and this is as true in sports as in the areas of business, politics and culture. Sport is a global business and Chinese sports stars are recognised around the world for their excellence. These awards are a celebration of that excellence.

     I am sure that excitement will be felt during the 2002 Sports Awards. PricewaterhouseCoopers is looking forward to playing our part to ensure a highly successful awards event which will recognise the best sportsmen and sportswomen in China.
